Cyprus becomes member of COSPAR, co-deciding on space policies, CSEO President tells CNA
CNA - Athena Arsalidou - CYPRUS/Nicosia 03/02/2017 13:02

The Cyprus Space Exploration Organisation (CSEO) has become a member of the international Committee on Space Research (COSPAR), which promotes scientific research in space on an international level.

Following its accession, Cyprus participates in the COSPAR Council, which is the highest body of this international organisation. CSEO will thus be able to co-decide about international space policies together with countries like the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and bodies like the «Rutherford Appleton Laboratory», the «USA National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine», the «Russian Academy of Sciences» and the «Chinese Academy of Sciences».
