Nicosia and Riyadh agree to enhance relations, Saudi Arabia expresses support to UN decisions on Cyprus

Saudi Arabia supports the sovereignty of Cyprus and the UN decisions on the Cyprus problem, and hopes that the parties will resolve problems in a peaceful manner, Saudi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf said in statements after talks he had in Nicosia with his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides.
Al-Assaf, who paid on Wednesday an official visit to Cyprus, the first-ever official visit to Cyprus by a Saudi Foreign Minister in the history of diplomatic relations between the two countries, also noted that he saw a high interest in developing Cyprus-Saudi Arabia relations in all fronts.
