Increase in number of Cyprus residents returning from tips in July 2019

An increase of 1.1% was recorded in the number of residents of Cyprus returning from a trip abroad in July 2019, compared to July 2018.
On the basis of the results of the Passengers Survey, by the Statistical Service, 166,175 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in July 2019 compared to 164,376 in the corresponding month last year, recording an increase of 1.1%.
In July 2019 there was an increase of 33.8% in the trips of residents to Russia, specifically 9,416 in July 2019 compared to 7,040 in July 2018, while a decrease of 8.7% was recorded for the trips to Greece as well as for the trips to the United Kingdom.
