Lute conveys to President Anastasiades UNSG’s wish to move forward with a Cyprus settlement

Jane Holl Lute, the UN Envoy for Cyprus, conveyed to President Anastasiades the wish of the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, to move forward with the process for a Cyprus settlement, Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou told CNA. He added that the President of Cyprus reiterated his readiness to resume talks, during a telephone conversation with Lute on Wednesday.

In a Twitter post, President Anastasiades wrote yesterday that they agreed with Lute that she will visit Cyprus in around three weeks, in order to continue the effort.
