Cyprus and Slovenia underline their commitment to international law and to enhance their economic cooperation

Slovenia, as Cyprus, supports without any hesitation and reservations the respect of international law and of the International Tribunal’s and the United Nations` decisions , Slovenian Foreign Minister Miro Cerar said on Friday in Nicosia, stressing at the same time that "we must strive for a strong and cohesive EU" which, in defining the common EU interests, stands for the vital interests of each member state.

In statements after the talks that he had with his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides, Cerar also said that Slovenia and Cyprus are allies when it comes to solidarity and respect of the rule of law as two fundamental European values. Both Ministers stressed during their joint statements the prospects for enhancing the relations between the two countries and especially their economic cooperation.
