President of the House of Representatives Demetris Syllouris has said the House has the capabilities and vision to tackle the expectations of the future and needs to be present in the international arena to promote Cyprus’ geopolitical position and importance.
Syllouris was addressing an event organized by the Embassy of Cyprus and the Cypriot overseas organisations in Athens on the role of the House of Representatives in modern times and the necessary reforms.
He referred to the Protocol of Cooperation between the Parliaments of Cyprus and Greece regarding the access to the Cyprus File, adding that with the publication of the Cyprus File, “light will be shed on dark aspects of the Cyprus tragedy” while ending an issue that has been pending for many years, restoring a moral order among the people.
