EU services acted in record time, it is up to the Ministers to decide, EC official says on measures against Turkey

The EU services have acted in record time to present a list of options for measures against Turkey, as requested by the European Council, and now it is up to the Ministers to decide on the course of actions, Head of the European Commission Representation to Cyprus Ierotheos Papadopoulos said on Wednesday, responding to a question during a press conference at the EU House, in Nicosia, for the presentation of the Finnish EU Presidency`s priorities.

The EU 28 member states warned last month Turkey with "targeted meausures" for its illegal drilling activities in Cyprus` Exclusive Economic Zone, as the European Council endorsed an invitation "to the Commission and the EEAS to submit options for appropriate measures without delay, including targeted measures"
