Defence Minister attends the trilateral military exercise “Medusa 9” in Crete

Cyprus Defence Minister Savvas Angelides attended with his counterparts Nikos Panagiotopoulos (Greece) and Mohamed Ahmed Zaki (Egypt) the trilateral aeronautical military exercise “Medusa 9”, which took place in Crete, on Wednesday, November 6.

After the completion of the exercise, Angelides congratulated the participants of the Armed Forces of the three countries for their high level of training, professionalism and operational capacity, as well as for their cooperation.

Defence Minister of the Republic of Cyprus participated yesterday in the Trilateral Meeting of Defence Ministers of Greece, Cyprus and Egypt, held in Athens, after the completion of which the three Ministers issued a joint statement, denouncing Turkish illegal actions in the Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
