Greek PM and German Chancellor discuss the Cyprus problem

The Cyprus problem was among the issues which the Prime Minister of Greece, Alexis Tsipras, and the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, discussed on Thursday in Athens.

In joint statements after their talks, Tsipras and Merkel emphasized the opening of a new chapter in Greek-German relations, focusing on the upgrading of the two countries` bilateral cooperation and the development of policies for Europe’s sustainability.

During Merkel΄s official visit to Greece, the two leaders discussed a detailed agenda on current geopolitical and European issues, among which was the Cyprus issue.
