UN SG’s report on Cyprus expected to be given to Security Council members on Thursday

A report of the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres about his mission of good offices in Cyprus is expected to be handed over to Security Council members on Thursday, Cyprus’ Permanent Representative in the UN Kornelios Korneliou has said.

Korneliou, who was addressing an event of Cypriot Diaspora in the US also expressed the view that no surprises or apportionment of blame are expected.

He further said that after the Turkish elections he thinks the road will be paved for an envoy of the UN Secretary General to tour the region.
