Koumoutsakos announces trilateral cooperation among Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria on migration issue

Greek Alternate Minister of Citizen Protection, George Koumoutsakos, announced the conclusion of a trilateral cooperation agreement between Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria on the migration issue.

Koumoutsakos stressed that Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria constitute front-line states of the EU on the Eastern Mediterranean migration routes, something which makes their cooperation essential, in order to develop coordinated action at the level of the European institutions, to address the challenges of the migration issue.

Koumoutsakos said that the trilateral cooperation, through its coordinated actions at the level of the European Institutions, aims to ensure EU’s concrete support and active solidarity as regards the challenges of the immigration issue.
