President of the House of Representatives Demetris Syllouris deplored Turkey’s constant violations of Cyprus’ sovereignty, during a session hosted by Liechtenstein’s Parliament in the context of the Conference of the Small States of Europe Parliament Speakers hosted in Vaduz.
Addressing a session on small states of Europe sovereignty, Syllouris referred to the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus, the illegal unilateral declaration of independence proclaimed by the occupying regime in 1983, deploring the ensuing violations of international law, especially the UN Security Council resolutions on Cyprus.
According to a press release issued by the Cyprus Parliament, Syllouris also condemned the recent examples of violations of Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone.
