National Council convenes to discuss way forward in Cyprus issue

President Nicos Anastasiades chairs, on Monday, a meeting of the National Council, the top advisory body to the President, comprising parliamentary party leaders, with discussions expected to focus on the way forward in the Cyprus issue.

The meeting is set to begin at 0930 hours local tie (0630 GMT).

UN-backed talks that took place between June 28-July 7, in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, ended inconclusively.
