The significant progress that has been achieved in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Cyprus and Kazakhstan in various areas, such as economic, business and trade relations was expressed on Friday, 21 February, by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides. It is high time for the exchange of presidential visits to both Nicosia and Astana in the near future, President Christodoulides said during an official ceremony, at the Presidential Palace, in Nicosia, as he accepted the credentials of the new Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Nikolay Zhumakanov.“Kazakhstan firmly supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus within its internationally recognized borders” the Ambassador said in turn.
