The two-day meeting of Directors-General for Vocational Education and Training (VET), held in the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union in Brussels, was opened with a speech by Cyprus’ Minister of Education, Sport and Youth, Athena Michaelidou. She highlighted that “VET plays a central role in building a resilient and competitive European skills ecosystem, contributing significantly to social cohesion, sustainable development and the creation of quality jobs.”
