The informal European Council is taking place, for the first time, in Cyprus, on Thursday and Friday, with leaders of EU member states, as well as regional leaders, arriving in Nicosia, in the context of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU. Energy security, regional developments and the EU’s long-term budget will be on the top of the agenda.
