Cyprus has made significant progress in improving conditions for migrants and asylum seekers in recent years, but further efforts are needed to strengthen safeguards for people deprived of their liberty, Commissioner for Administration and Human Rights Maria Stylianou-Lottides said during a roundtable discussion on the latest report of the Council of Europe's Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT).
