Cypriot printmaker Hambis Tsangaris was lucky to apprentice alongside the acclaimed Greek printmaker A. Tasos. In memory of his teacher, he has been giving free engraving lessons at his school in Plataniskia since 1995. Through his art, he has recorded the history of Cyprus and now is the first Cypriot artist to be awarded the European Heritage Award by Europa Nostra.
