The European Commission has decided to refer Cyprus and another four countries to the Court of Justice of the European Union due to lack of effective implementation of the Digital Services Act, as part of its May infringements package. In particular, Cyprus did appoint the Cyprus Radiotelevision Authority, but has not empowered it to enable it to carry out its duties under the DSA, according to the Commission.
