Competent sources have expressed "limited optimism" regarding the outcome of the informal meeting on the Cyprus issue that is taking place in New York under the auspices of the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, noting however the readiness of the Greek Cypriot side to discuss the outstanding issues on the Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) as well as for more progress in the entire process.
