The trade unions decided to call a general strike on September 11 after the fail of talks regarding the Cost of Living Allowance (CoLA). During an all-union meeting held on Monday, the unions decided to proceed with a three-hour work stoppage from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 11.
