EU Commissioner for Budget, Anti-Fraud, and Public Administration, Piotr Serafin, stressed on Thursday, during a meeting he had in Nicosia with the House Committee on Financial and Budgetary Affairs, the need for a future EU budget that balances traditional cohesion policies with the urgent new challenges of competitiveness, defence, and security.
