The European Commission has requested that all member states implement the Directive on a high common level of cybersecurity across the Union (NIS 2), so that the entire EU-27 is protected from cyberattacks similar to those that occurred last weekend at European airports. Cyprus is just a few months into full implementation, following non-compliance procedures, the Commission confirmed to CNA, noting, however, that until all 27 incorporate the NIS 2 Directive, everyone remains vulnerable.
