The President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, expressed on Tuesday her sincere appreciation for Ireland's steadfast support to efforts aiming to resolve the Cyprus problem, based on the  international law principles and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, as well as for Ireland's long-standing contribution to the UN peacekeeping force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), during a meeting with the new Irish Ambassador to Cyprus, Sarah Hamilton.
