President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides said on Friday that we are being totally realistic, by acknowledging that with international law as the only tool in our arsenal we cannot liberate our homeland. In today’s international system, "interests prevail over justice" he told a gathering of the Cypriot diaspora in the New York, adding that the goal is “to align the interests of small Cyprus with those of powerful states” and to show that the Republic of Cyprus can “offer solutions to significant problems, particularly in our region.”
