Approximately 1,300 sheep and goats had been killed by Monday evening in the units infected with foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) at Aradippou and Livadia region, Larnaca district, while another 2,700 are expected to be killed by Wednesday, the Veterinary Services spokesperson, Senior Veterinary Officer, Sotiria Georgiadou, said on Tuesday at a press conference in Nicosia, noting that so far there is no other case other than those in the 22 units in Larnaca district.
