Employment in the EU has recorded an upward trend in the fourth quarter of 2025, with Cyprus among the countries that showed the strongest improvement in the labour market. According to the latest data published by Eurostat on Friday, the employment rate for people aged 20 to 64 in the EU stood at 76.3% in the fourth quarter of 2025, marking a slight increase compared with 76.2% recorded in the third quarter of the same year.
