Eurostat unemployment data find Cyprus in a better position compared to the EU and the Eurozone recent statistics released by the European statistics authority on Wednesday show. According to the data, unemployment in January 2026 stood at 4.2% in Cyprus, compared to 5.8% in the EU and 6.1% in the Eurozone. However, youth unemployment remains high at 15%. Regarding gender differences, the unemployment rate in Cyprus was 4.0% for men and 4.4% for women, showing a slight disparity between the two genders.
