Professor of Risk Assessment, George Boustras, is taking part in the new PreparEU Advisory Group, which the European Commission is establishing today to advise on Europe’s preparedness for disasters. The group will advise Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib on how best to address accelerating disaster risks, including extreme weather events and wildfires.
