The return of the fenced-off city of Famagusta (Varosha) to its lawful inhabitants could act as a catalyst for the UN Secretary-General’s efforts and create a real prospect for a mutually beneficial state of affairs, President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides stressed in a written statement marking 52 years since the second phase of the Turkish invasion, on Friday.
