The first case of West Nile virus in Cyprus for 2026 has been identified, Health Ministry officials told CNA on Friday. Infectious disease specialist Aristos Aristodemou said that the patient, a 70-year-old man, is in serious condition and is hospitalised in the Intensive Care Unit of the General Hospital of Nicosia.
