Alzheimer's and dementia the second most common cause of death among women in Cyprus

According to estimates by the World Health Organization (WHO) for Cyprus in 2021, Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia were the second leading cause of death among women, with 49.9 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, and the sixth leading cause among men, with 26.8 deaths per 100,000, Ithaki Foundation reports on the occasion of World Alzheimer’s Day.
