Efforts to secure EU co-funding for the acquisition of two firefighting aircraft are at an advanced stage, Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas said on Monday, adding that the aircraft would strengthen the operational capabilities of the Cyprus Regional Aerial Firefighting Station (CRAFS).
