Cyprus’ General Government recorded a fiscal surplus of €1.5891 billion, or 4.1% of GDP, in the January-August 2026 period, compared with €1.2693 billion, or 3.5% of GDP, in the corresponding period of 2025, according to preliminary fiscal results released by the Statistical Service on Thursday.
