The progress and implementation of local government reform in Cyprus were among the topics discussed during a meeting between Marc Cools, the President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, and the Union of Cyprus Municipalities (UCM). During the meeting, the Union's President, Andreas Vyras, emphasised the commitment of municipalities to continue aligning with European standards for local governance.
