The strategic importance of the ever-strengthening cooperation between the Republic of Cyprus and the United States of America was emphasised by Minister of Defence, Vasilis Palmas, during the swearing-in ceremony for the first Cypriot student, Leonidas Fereos, who will study at a United States military academy, specifically the United States Naval Academy (USNA).
